FAQ

Safari

A private game reserve is a privately owned area with wildlife roaming freely in its domains. There are accommodation and dining facilities to host guests. The structure is usually sophisticated, rates are per person and higher compared to national parks. Safari drives and meals are included in the rate.
A national park is a government owned area (usually larger in size than private reserves) with protected fauna and flora, which also has a structure for visitors, in some cases with accommodation and catering options. Less sophisticated than private reserves, but mostly with excellent structure and lower prices. Safari activities (guided drives, walks) and meals are not included in the daily accomodation rate and to visit the park you must normally join an organized group trip or independent self-drive. A conservation fee is payable upon entry, for day and overnight visitors.
