    A young explorer and traveler visited Uganda in 1907. His words, at the end of the experience, were immortalized: “For magnificence, for variety of form and color, for profusion of brilliant life - bird, insect, reptile, beast - for vast scale - Uganda is truly the Pearl of Africa". Because of this memorable phrase, present in the book "My African Journey", Uganda has earned the nickname that remains firm today. The author of the phrase and the book: Sir Winston Churchill.
     
    Despite a turbulent past, Uganda is one of the most peaceful nations on the continent. Cities are among the safest and countryside exposes one of the most authentic, untouched and friendly faces in Africa. The tourist structure is excellent and in perfect harmony with nature.     Bwindi and Mgahinga are the habitats of mountain gorillas. Kibale, of fascinating chimpanzees. For lovers of climbing, options abound: Virunga Volcanoes, Mount Elgon and Rwenzori Mountains, the largest mountain range in Africa, with the third highest peak of the continent. Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls are national parks with an abundance of wildlife, waterfalls and ecological tours. In Jinja, be sure to explore the Nile source by kayak or rafting, in the clear waters of Lake Victoria - the largest in Africa.
