FAQ

Preparations: luggage, documents, visas and vaccinations

The basic requirement is a passport valid for a minimum of 6 months from date of return, at least one blank page for each country visited, and the international yellow fever vaccination certificate (if you originate or have been to a yellow fever region). Depending on the countries visited and your citizenship, visas might be required. Some can be issued on arrival at destination, others must be provided in the country of origin (e-visas or via consulates/embassies). If the trip includes self-drive, an international driver's licence may be required. Children traveling unaccompanied (or with only one parent) must have specific parental consent. All minors traveling to South Africa must carry a birth certificate (original or certified copy). We inform all document requirements according to each case.
